Financial conditions

1. Candidates accepted as Competitors must pay a non-refundable entrance fee in the amount of UAH 500. Instructions of how to settle this payment will be sent to all accepted Competitors together with the official confirmation of their acceptance. Only those Competitors who have paid the entrance fee will be allowed to participate in the Competition.

2. The Competition will not pay or be responsible for the airfares or other travel costs of the Competitor or anyone accompanying the Competitor.

3. Competitors and their personal accompanists will receive free accommodation for the duration of their participation in the Competition with the exception of the First Round period (27 November - 1 December). If requested, Competition Office will offer assistance in reserving the accommodation for the Competitors and their accompanists during the First round of the Competition at a hotel, private property or student house of residence, however such accommodation must be at Competitors’ expense. Accommodation provided as follows:

• for the First Round competitors and their personal accompanists – free accommodation not provided;
• for the Second Round competitors and their personal accompanists – accommodation provided free of charge;

• for the Final Round and Gala Concert participating competitors – accommodation provided free of charge till 9 December 2007;
• for the Competitors awarded the special prize for the best performance of a Mykola Lysenko piece and for the accompanists awarded the special prize To the best Competition accompanist - accommodation provided free of charge till 9 December 2007.

4. The Competition will not pay accommodation to other persons travelling with the Competitor.

5. Competitors eliminated from the First and Second Rounds will have to pay for their accommodation if they choose to stay until the end of the Competition.
